How to Commission a Hat
All consultations are by
appointment so please phone or email Millinery Matters to
arrange your initial consultation. Here your ideas and
requirements can be discussed fully. You can try on shapes to
assess the best design for you and chose the sort of materials
you would like for your hat or headpiece.
When you are
happy with your choice and the cost is agreed, work on the hat
can begin. At this point a deposit will be requested.
A
second meeting will take place to check that the basic hat
structure is comfortable and fits you well. Also you will make
the final decisions on the trim for the hat. If required,
changes can be made at this stage.
The final meeting
will be for you to try on and take away your finished
Millinery Matters creation.
Annie works with you,
throughout - from the initial design ideas to the final
fitting and the whole process is entirely flexible to best
meet your needs.
Several weeks are normally needed to
create your hat or fascinator, Ideally 4-6 weeks notice is
preferred, especially at busy times of year. However, if a
hat is required at short notice it may be possible,
please call to check.
Consultations and fittings will
take place in Annie's workroom in central
Leicester.
